Answer: Basically the scenery of Mt. Huangshan varies from season to season. So you are expected to enjoy different views in different seasons except for June which is the raining month in Huangshan area.

Answer: You can take flight to Huangshan from Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Wuhan, Xiamen, Hefei and Hongkong. You can also take the train to Huangshan from Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing, Xiamen. Bus is available between Huangshan and Hanzhou, Suzhou, Nanjing, Shanghai and some other palces. Answers: In summer the temperature up the mountain is about 27 degrees Centigrade while in winter it reaches minus 10 degrees. (See Geographical Features & Climate)

Answer: It usually falls in June and lasts untill the beginning of July.
Question: What should I bring with me when it rains up the mountain?
Answer: It is advisable that you bring a panchow with you instead of an umbrella since it is safer when it winds. The raincoat is available in small shops up the mountain.
Question: How can I get to the mountain proper?
Answer: You need to take bus from Tunxi (downtown of Huangshan City) to the foot of Huangshan Mountaintain before taking either Yungu Cable Car or Jade Screen Cable Car up the mountain. You can also choose to do hiking up the mountain at the foot.

Answer: It depends. You can choose to stay up the mountain for, say, one week to explore fully the most beautiful mountain in China if you have enough time. Otherwise you can just stay one or two nights, or even go up and down the mountain the same day.

Answer: I would like firstly to suggest you go to Hongcun and Xidi Villages, World Cultural Heritage Sites by UNESCO, for a visit. Other sites worth visiting include Huashan Mysterious Grottoes, Tanyue Arches Complex, Tangmo Village, Doushan Lane in Shexian County, etc.

Answer: Don't worry! Down the mountain in the downtown there are 1 five star hotel, 4 four star hotels while there are 3 four star-rated hotels and 1 three star hotel up the mountain. They will meet your demands accordingly.

Answer: As a rule, once we have confirmed your accommodation or trip, you are required to deposit 30% of the total cost into our bank account. That will guarantee your trip. We will collect the rest of money upon your arrival and give you the receipt.

Question: Which cable way should I take to get up the mountain?
Answer: Most of the tourists would take the Yungu Cable Car (on the eastern side) up the mountain, for the terminal is closer to the major hotels up the mountain. However, there is no reason that you should not take the Jade Screen Cable Car (on the western side) up the mountain if you want to explore more of the scenery. Be sure that you will walk about 3 hours before you get to one of the major hotels up the mountain.

Answer: Yes, there is. Starting from 16th November this year to 16th March, 2004, entry and cable car ticket to Mt. Huangshan will drop from 131RMB and 81RMB (one way trip) to 86RMB and 56RMB (one way trip). Entry fee to other scenic sites within Huangshan City will also go down 20%. Room rates are reduced between 30% and 40%. One of the major advantages for tourists to come to Huangshan in winter is that you will not encounter so many tourists as in other seasons.
