Tunxi--Capital of Huangshan City
Tunxi has been one of the most important towns in southern Anhui since ancient times. It lies in the upper reaches of the Xin'an River on the vital communications line linking up the provinces of Anhui, Jiangxi and Zhejiang. From Tunxi highways extend to all parts of the country, the Anhui--Jiangxi Railway stretches westward, and airlines lead to Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Hefei and other coastal cities. With all the facilities for travel, Tunxi is also a service center of the Huangshan Tourist Zone.

The Ancient Tunxi Street is so antique and quaint that it has been referred to as The Town of the Song Dynasty. And as the street scenes are good for shooting films of ancient stories, Tunxi Town is also regarded as an ideal Film and TV Town. Map of Tunxi

It covers an area of 1,775 square kilometers with a population of 162,000. Its history can be traced back to as early as 1,250 years ago. Its unique location, long-standing history, peerless ecological environment and abundant tourism resources add to its mystic appeal.

Yixian County
Yixian is so named because black rocks are scattered all over the place (the Chinese word for its name is a combination of many and black rocks). As the word is never used otherwise, many people can't pronounce it, so they simply say the two parts of the word separately, calling the place Many-Black County, A particular kind of stone found in the mountains known as Yixian Grey, is close-textured and smooth, hence an ideal material for building and sculpture. The tables, chairs, stone lions and other carvings made out of the local stone sell well at home and abroad. Surrounded by mountains, Yixian is remote and quaint for its ancient houses and old customs. Li Bai admired the place in his famous lines,
Yixian boasts a wonderland,
And wonders see no end,
The land puts on rare plants,
And folks wear old-styled clothes.
In the tranquility of this haven of peace, one does forget all about his worldly cares. Map of Yixian

Qimen County--Hometown of Keemun Black Tea
Qimen County is situated at very southern part of Anhui Province, to the west of Huangshan mountain range, borders Jiangxi Province. It is a mountainous county covering 2,257 square kilometers, with 25 villages and towns and a population of 186,000. Map of Qimen County

Qimen County enjoys nice scenery and unique tourist resources. Guniujiang Nature Resort is proud of peaks, gullys, rivulets, and waterfalls etc. A big rock on the peak resembles a water buffalo that has just landed from the sky. Guniujiang is also called "a treasure-house of wildlife". As an important part of Hui-culture area, Qimen has plentiful Hui-style architecture, such as old residential houses and official buildings, old opera stages and pagodas. Qimen County has been known for its folk art, especially its operas, for instance, Mulian Opera, Tea-Picking Opera, Huangmei Opera, Butterfly-Catching Dance and Xi-Lantern Dance, etc.
