Jixi County is located in the southeast part of Anhui province. It is the mountainous area with the good natural conditions. It is near to Shexian County and much too near to Huangshan Mountain. Jixi is a famous cultural city with many famous celebrities such as Hu Shi, the world-famous scholar and master, Hu Xueyan, the famous official businessman, Hujingtao, Chinese national president, Hu Zongxian, the famous official of Ming Dynasty, Hu Kaiwen, the famous master of Huizhou ink production and so on. It is the attractive gem in Chinese traditional world; numerous authoritative celebrities are widely influencing Chinese literature and ideology.

The total area of this county is 1126 square kilometers with the population of 180,000 in 2004. It is the hometown of Huizhou businessmen and the origin of Huizhou cuisine, Huizhou ink and Huizhou opera. Its marvelous carving on brick, wood and stone and its unique architecture style in the old villages are both showing its rising as a new cultural center and the tourism center in China. Jixi county has the convenient traffic towards many famous places.
