Day 1 Arrive in TunxiHotel Accommodations (based on twin-sharing)
Arrive in Tunxi (downtown of Huangshan City). Meet our guide and be transferred to hotel. Since you'll have to carry everything yourself up Huangshan unless you hire a porter, it is advisable that you leave your big luggage in the hotel in downtown and bring only a small handbag or backpack with you up mountain.
Day 2 Hiking in Huangshan (B, L, D)
For centuries, Huangshan has been a source of inspiration for Chinese art and literature. The beauty of the mountain has been immortalized in numerous poems and paintings. More recently, filmmaker James Cameron admitted to drawing on its majesty for his blockbuster Avatar. Today, we drive for about one hour and 15 minutes to reach the foothill of Huangshan where you would take the Yuping Cable Car up the mountain from the western steps, followed by a "Long March" for about 3 and half hours. On the way, you'll find yourself surrounded by numerous breathtaking views, including the Jade Screen Peak, Welcoming-guest Pine Tree, Lotus Peak, Turtle Peak, Heavenly Sea Pavilion, Bright Top Peak, Flying-over Rock, Cloud-dispelling Pavilion and the most gorgeous Grand Canyon of the West Sea. Overnight up mountain
