Day 1 Beijing
Arrival at Beijing, you will be met & transferred by our professional English speaking guide to your hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day to adjust to the time difference.
Day 2 Beijing (B, L)
After taking buffet breakfast in the hotel, we'll make a full day city excursion to Tian'anmen Square - the largest square in the world, Forbidden City - imperial palace of the Ming and Qing Dynasties, and Temple of Heaven - here ancient emperors prayed to the heaven for good harvest yearly. Lunch will be served at a good local restaurant. For the evening entertainment, you can choose either the Peking Opera Show or Chinese Kungfu show.
Day 3 Beijing (B, L, D)
After breakfast at hotel, we'll start out day by a trip to the Great Wall at Badaling. Being the ancient military defense project, Great Wall is symbol and proud of China. There are many sections of Great Wall around Beijing city. Badaling Great Wall is the site of the most visited section of the Great Wall partly because it is close to Beijing city and connected with urban area by expressway. There is a Great Wall Museum and Great Wall National Theater close to Badaling Great Wall. The theater offers you a chance to get a full view of the Great Wall of China.
Later on, we'll be visiting the Ming Tombs and the Sacred Way. The Ming Tombs lie in Changping County, about 50 kilometers (31 miles) northwest from the urban area of Beijing. It is actually a tomb cluster of the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), including thirteen emperor's mausoleums, seven tombs for concubines and one grave for eunuchs. This cemetery is world famous because of the thirteen emperors buried here. Sitting at the foot of Mt. Yan and occupying an area of more than 120 square kilometers (29,653 acres), it appears extremely spectacular. It was listed in the World Heritage List in 2003. In the evening, we'll have Peking Roasted Duck Dinner.
Day 4 Beijing - Xi'an (B, L, D)
Buffet breakfast at hotel, then transfer to the airport for flight to Xi'an-the ancient capital of China for 13 dynasties. Upon arrival meet and transfer the hotel. Lunch at good local restaurant followed by visit to Shaanxi Historical Museum and Ancient City Wall, the most complete city wall that has survived in China as well being one of the largest ancient military defensive systems in the world. It was enlarged in Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) from the city wall initially built in Tang Dynasty (618 -907). Now it is 12 meters tall, 12-14 meters wide and 14 kilometers in length with a deep moat surrounding it. You can walk, even cycle on the wall. We'll take Dumpling Dinner with dumplings making demonstration at a good dumpling restaurant.
Day 5 Xi'an (B, L)
We take a full day excursion to world famous Terracotta Warriors and Horses with circle movie showed before visiting the pits and the Banpo Neolithic Village. The original site of Terracotta Warriors was found by a local farmer digging a well in 1974. Now it has turned into the most important attraction in Xi'an - Terracotta Warriors and Horse Museum. It is located about 50km east of the Xi'an City. The museum includes Pit 1, Pit 2 and Pit 3 as well the exhibition hall of the chariots and horses. The Pit 1 is the largest of the three. Lunch at good local restaurant. You can choose the Tang Dynasty Dinner Show as optional in the evening (highly recommended, as it is the best show in China).
Day 6 Xi'an - Guilin (B, L)
After breakfast, we'll transfer to the airport for flight to Guilin. The scenery of Guilin has been called the finest under heaven. Situated in the northeast of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Guilin City is South China's shining pearl, with verdant mountains, elegant waters, magnificent crags and fantastic caverns. You'll be met by out guide and transferred to hotel. Lunch will be served at a good local restaurant followed by visit to Elephant Trunk Hill and the Reed Flute Cave.
Day 7 Guilin ( B, L)
Today, we take Lijiang River cruise with lunch on board. Situated in Guilin City, Li River is a bright pearl on the list of China's tourist attractions and it is the highlight of sightseeing tour in Guilin. The 83-km-long waterway from Guilin to Yangshuo is the masterpiece of Lijiang River, decorated with rolling hills, steep cliffs, fantastic caves, leisurely boats and lined bamboos which is just like enjoying a melodious symphony. Later, we drive back to the city. On the way back, our driver will make several stops somewhere for taking pictures of rice paddies and water buffaloes.
Day 8 Guilin - Shanghai (B, L)
After breakfast, we'll drive to the airport for flight to Shanghai. Upon arrival, be met by our guide and transferred to your hotel. In the afternoon, we visit the Bund and have a casual stroll along the emporium-lined Nanjiing Road. Take a glimpse into Shanghai's architecture and see how it looked centuries ago. This landmark known for its distinct neo-classic architecture of 52 European style buildings not only lined the Huangpu River but at one time in the past housed most financial institutions including national banks that were considered part of the "Big Four." In the evening you will attend a mesmerizing Shanghai Acrobatic Show which will conclude the night.
Day 9 Shanghai (B, L)
Today, we pay a visit to Yuyuan Garden, a well-restored Suzhou-style garden, which was specially built for Pan's parents as a place to enjoy themselves a tranquil and happy time in their old age. The pavilions, halls, rockeries, ponds and cloisters are unique characteristic. And also take a walk through Chenghuangmiao (known as Yuyuan Garden Market) built in the fifteenth century during the Ming Dynasty. It filled with antique markets and specititley stores. Then, visit Shanghai Museum, a leading attraction of the city since it opened in 1994, containing some priceless collections of paintings, porcelains and bronzes. Later, we'll visit Jade Buddha Temple, built in 1882 to house two jade Buddha statues which had been brought from Burma by a monk named Huigen. The two precious jade Buddha statues, one sitting Buddha and one Recumbent Buddha, are carved with whole white jade.
Day 10 Shanghai - Suzhou - Shanghai (B, L)
For today, we'll make a full day trip by coach (car) to Suzhou where you will visit Garden of the Master of the Nets, originally the garden of the Song official Shi Zhengzhi and bore the name Thousand Scroll Hall. It was rebuilt during the reign of Emperor Qian Long and changed to its present name. The whole compound is made up of a garden and living quarters. The garden is located in the west, with a lake serving as the central point of the layout. On the lake's shores, corridors, pavilions, stone bridges and rockeries compose a scene of rich attractions. Alongside the lake are picturesque grottos of yellow huangshi granite, in the creation of which techniques derived from Chinese painting were applied. Later on, we visit Suzhou Silk Factory. In the afternoon, we take a boat trip on the ancient canal in Suzhou. Back to Shanghai in the evening.
Day 11 Shanghai Departure (B)
Free until we transfer you to the airport for flight to the next destination. End of service.
